After Britain realized that they were able to generate more power from solar then they were from coal in a year long test they decided to make the move to a more environmental friendly source of energy by the end of 2025. In the year long study they were able to generate more power from solar then they were from coal for 6 months.
The main reason behind all of this is due to the fact that coal is an extremely dirty source of energy, and if you are able to generate more power from a more eco friendly source such as solar panels, then why not make the switch? But of course with all of the equipment and work involved in getting energy from coal it takes time to make the switch to solar, which is why Britain plans to slowly and smoothly make the transition.
What do you readers think, is this a good or bad choice? I personally think it is a good idea as solar while it is quite expensive to get it up and running, is a much much more eco friendly source of energy then coal.
